Research and Planning: Film Genres

These are four film genres which I think would be goof to make a movie trailer for

Horror
I think horror would be a good genre to make a film trailer, poster and magazine cover for because with a horror I will be able to use free props and scenery so it wont be expensive to make.
A horror film is a film aimed to scare and bring fear to the audience by playing on and exaggerating the common fear which most people might have. Plots of horror films often include, and evil force of some kind or supernatural activity. Most horrors include; aliens, ghosts, vampires, werewolves, demons, monsters etc.

Thriller
Thrillers try to create excitement, suspense and tension to get the audiences attention. thrillers are often adrenaline rushing, gritty and fast pace, they are always making the audience anxious about what is happening next. they often cross over with other genres, some sub-genres might include mystery-thrillers, and crime-thrillers

Crime
these films are mostly based around the lives of criminals, they can be portrayals of rwal-life crime figures or about the evil doings of fictional criminals. They are also often based on a book or novels or series of novels like the Agatha Christie novels. Like thrillers these films sometimes have sub genres too some might include crime-thrillers, crime-comedies or crime-dramas

Comedy
A comedies main purpose is to make an audience laugh, they are often light-hearted dramas and are made to entertain audiences by making them laugh and they usually finish in a happy ending. Comedy is one of the oldest film genres because it is very reliant on the visual aspects of the film.
